board1 has permission
Board1 has permission to see private documents in Group 2.
[Problem] I see the private document
Jim sees the private document. He does not have View Private documents and he is not an administrator of the group.
His individual roles are
Jim is an administrator
I didn't test Jim, but I did test board2. I removed "view private files" permission and board2 could not see the private file in the private post.
As an administrator, Jim is SUPPOSED to be able to view private files in all groups.
board1 has permission to see private documents in Test Group 2
If you click on Test Group 2:
then Click on Group
then click on People

You will see that board1 has permssion to view private files in this group.
board1 removed
This may have crossed - I removed board1 and created board2 so visibility between groups for non-member user could be tested.
You may be mistaken about Jim
I didn't test Jim, but I did test board2. I removed "view private files" permission and board2 could not see the private file in the private post.
I am not - tested again
Please test as jimedwards. I will e-mail you password. He does see private files.
I believe it might be something to do with administrator at user level.
administrator at user level can see everything
Administrator and DistrictAdmin roles can pretty much see everything everywhere. If you don't want Jim to be an administrator, we can remove that role from his profile.
